CALIFORNIA, Md. — A California-based locksmith is now among a select group of technicians qualified to inspect, service and repair some of the high-security safes, vaults and security containers used throughout military installations, government facilities and defense contractor operations.
Mark Van Deusen, owner of PAX Access Control LLC, recently earned certification as a GSA Safe & Vault Technician/Inspector, expanding the company’s ability to support the specialized security needs of Southern Maryland’s defense community.
The lock instruction included disassembly, reassembly and installation. Certifications for KABA MAS X-10, CDX-10 and S&G-2740B and an overview of the X-07,08 & 09 were covered.
Training also included GSA Container approved drilling and other opening methods as well as FED-STD 809 approved repairs including vault doors. The course also incorporated GSA Inspections and regulation overview. Van Deusen recently completed the specialized training.
The program focused on advanced locksmith techniques for high-security government containers and vaults, including full disassembly, reassembly and proper installation procedures.
This training was added to the LKM10K, S&G-2890C, ICD-705, and a host of locksmith and factory lock certifications. PAX Access Control also holds a Maryland Security System Agency License, Maryland Locksmith License, and St. Mary’s Restricted Electrical License. This positions PAX Access Control LLC to better service the Military, Government and Government Contract community.
