On January 22 at 5:05 p.m., Cpl. R. Wilson responded to the area of Md. Rt. 4 and Commerce Lane in Prince Frederick for the report of a man lying in the grass. After making contact with the subject, Cpl. Wilson detected the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath and also saw the brass end of a fixed blade knife in his jacket when the man reached inside to find his identification.
Wilson arrested the man, identified as Daniel Wesley Strobel, 47 of Newburg, and charged him with carrying a concealed dangerous weapon.
