On Dec. 31, 2008 at 9:16 p.m., Gokhan Donald Ihlan Oztas, 24 of Lexington Park, was arrested by TFC E. Evans for theft under $100.
TFC Evans responded to Hal’s Deli in the 46000 block of South Shangri La Drive in Lexington Park, for the reported theft in progress. Upon arrival, contact was made with the 33-year-old male employee, who advised Oztas stole a bottle of Blue Sky Vodka and was engaged in a fight with the suspect inside store. The bottle of vodka was recovered and the suspect fled the store on foot. A broadcast was given of the suspect. A short time later, Oztas was taken into custody on Great Mills Road in Lexington Park and returned to the store where he was positively identified by the employee.
Oztas was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner
