Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to the 7100 block of Bumpy Oak Road in Indian Head at 1:09 p.m. March 7 for the report of a motor vehicle which had crashed into the woods.
The driver, Jarrard Elliott Queen, 41, of Indian Head, was transported to Civista Medical Center for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash.
Officers discovered Queen was wanted for several charges of failing to appear in court. When he was released from the hospital, officers arrested him and transported him to the Charles County Detention Center.
Shortly thereafter, the owner of the vehicle involved in the crash reported it stolen. Officers determined Queen had stolen the vehicle before the crash and he was additionally charged with auto theft.
He was also charged with driving with a suspended and revoked license. He was being held at the Charles County Detention Center pending an appearance before a district court commissioner.
