On September 12, 2015, Deputy J. Kirkner, responded to Midway Drive in Lexington Park, for a reported armed robbery. The victim was going to purchase Xanax but then decided to back out of the deal. The victim attempted to exit the vehicle operated by Ricky D. Thomas, age 24, of Lexington Park. Thomas would not let the victim exit the vehicle, demanded payment and then assaulted the victim. Thomas was located at his residence operating the same vehicle that matched the victim’s description. After a short foot chase, deputies apprehended Thomas. He was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and charged with Robbery, Armed Robbery, 1st Degree Assault, and Theft under $100.00 and Second Degree Assault.
