
Mechanicsville, MDโOn March 9, Maryland State Police Tfc. B. Ditoto was on patrol in the area of Three Notch Road and Christine Place in Mechanicsville. Ditoto observed a red Pontiac Grand Prix traveling northbound on Three Notch Road. The vehicle was missing validation tabs on the registration plate.
Ditoto made contact with the driver who was identified as Travis Andrew Davis, 23, of Clements. Upon contact, Ditoto detected a strong odor of burnt marijuana emitting from the vehicle. Davis was the sole occupant of the vehicle. According to charging documents, โDavis advised he was coming from the courthouse in Leonardtown because he had to pay a citation for a marijuana charge. Davis stated he just smoked marijuana after leaving the court.โ
Ditoto did a search of the vehicle, and driver revealed one clear plastic bottle of an unknown subjectโs urine. The bottle had a heating pack wrapped on the bottle. The bottle did not have any labels on it. According to charging documents, โDavis agreed to speak with Ditoto. Davis stated the clear plastic container was filled with an unknown subjectโs urine. Davis advised he purchased it on online to use for a drug test for work. Davis stated he could not remember what site he ordered it from.โ
Davis was charged with altering a drug/alcohol test. Davis at this time does not have a scheduled court date. Davis faces a maximum jail sentence of one year and/or a maximum fine of $1,000.
