James F. Sheehan

California, MD— On Feb.10, Maryland State Police Trooper Robert Geyer responded to Walmart located at Miramar Way, California for theft in progress.ย 

When Geyer arrived on the scene he made contact with the loss prevention officer who advised he had the suspect in the loss prevention office. Geyer made contact with James F. Sheehan, 60, of Leonardtown and was informed that he had a no trespass order.ย 

The loss prevention officer stated, “he had been watching Sheehan on surveillance he observed him (Sheehan) place four magazines into his gray backpack and put it in his walker,” according to charging documents.ย 

When Sheehanย was exiting the store, the loss prevention officer stopped him and observed him not having receipts for the items in the gray backpack.ย 

According to charging documents, “I (Geyer) asked Sheehan did he know he had a notice not to trespass order against him Sheehan advised, my memory is really bad, and I didn’t remember.”

Sheehan was arrested and transported to St.Mary’s County Detention Center.

Sheehan was charged with theft less than $100 and trespass private property. At this time does not have a scheduled court date.ย 

Sheehanย faces a maximum jail sentence of six months and or a maximum fine of $1,000.ย
