This new total means there are at least 1,730 newly confirmed cases in the past 24 hours.

Of the confirmed cases, over 1668 people are currently hospitalized, which is a decrease of 43 compared to what was recorded in the past day.

As of April 29, MDH is reporting data from nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and group homes with 10 or more occupants. With this newly released data today, so far 546 people living under these specified conditions have died from presumable COVID-19 cases, as well as eight staff members.

Negative test results also grew, with at least 4,894 negative confirmations in the past day, bring that total to 97,511.
