Annmarie Sculpture Garden & Arts Center, in Solomons, Maryland, presents a special all-day musical event! Join us for a day of song circles and acoustic jamming, followed by an evening concert, dinner, and contra dancing. It’s an opportunity to play, sing, dance, and hear different kinds of music – and to meet musicians from Southern Maryland and beyond! Bring your preferred instruments and/or your favorite songs, and enjoy the first annual Southern Maryland Acoustic Music Assembly. Come for part – or all day! What’s in store for the day:

Annmarie Sculpture Garden & Arts Center in Solomons, Maryland, hosts Annmarie After Hours on Friday, May 20, 2016, 6:00-9:00 pm in celebration of the opening of the latest exciting exhibit, Swarm: Invasion of the Insects. Guests will get a sneak peek of an eccentric mix of over 80 works by 62 artists. Works represent a multitude of media use from photography to encaustic to fused glass. Bright, colorful, fun, funky, and educational–this creepy crawly summer exhibit will have you buzzing with delight! Enjoy an array of appetizers from Hardesty Haven, cash bar, and live music by guitarist, Tom Rohde. Admission is free for members; adults are $5.00. Annmarie Sculpture Garden & Arts Center, in Solomons, Maryland, will host a FREE family event, Full STEAM Ahead, on Sunday, April 10, 2016, 1:00-4:00pm. Families are invited to visit the Annmarie artLAB for hands-on investigations and challenges! This month’s session is called “Wonderful Weather,” and will include a variety of fun and wildly creative games that will help kids explore, observe, ask questions, and make predictions about the world around them as they create and play! Join in on these fun and imaginative sessions that will get kids excited about learning. Perfect for all ages. Registration not required; admission is free.
