On August 22, Deputies responded to a residence in Garrett Trailer Park in Park Hall, for a report of an assault.
Investigation revealed James Walter Wheeler, Jr., 20 of Dameron and Carroll Leon Alvey, 20 of Lexington Park, tricked the victim into meeting them at Cooks Liquor Store, which is located just outside of the trailer Park. Wheeler and Alvey then assaulted the victim by striking him in the head with a pipe. Alvey was upset because the victim was dating a former girlfriend of his.
Both Alvey and Wheeler were arrested and charged with first and second-degree assault.
