At a about 5:20 p.m. today a motorcycle driver was stuck by an oncoming car at the intersection of Hermanville Road and Rt. 235 in Lexington Park.
The Harley Davidson rider was traveling north on Rt. 235 and attempted to turn left onto Hermanville Road. He pulled into the path of a car traveling south on Rt. 235 going through the intersection and was struck.
Witnesses on the scene called 911 and rushed to the fallen rider, who attempted to stand but could not.
Police, fire and ambulance personnel arrived on the scene within minutes, and witnesses dragged the rider’s mangled motorcycle from the roadway.
Details on the rider’s condition are not yet available.
