Motorcyclist Killed In Mechanicsville Collision With Amazon Vehicle, Road Closed

MECHANICSVILLE, Md. – On February 3, 2024, at approximately 3:52 p.m., emergency personnel responded to a serious motor vehicle accident involving an Amazon vehicle and motorcycle on Mechanicsville Road in the area of Asher Road. 

Crews arrived and found a motorcyclist suffering from multiple injuries including femur and ankle fractures.

EMS evaluated the patient and requested a MEDEVAC due to injuries, going in and out of consciousness. EMS began CPR and reported the patient deceased at 4:45 p.m.

Firefighters established a landing zone at the Country Lakes ball field for Maryland State Police, Trooper 2. 

Use caution in the area and expect extended road closures.

Police continue to investigate the incident. We will continue to provide updates as they become available.

  1. Im an amazon driver we have cameras in the veh>cle that monitor everyrhing.
    Speed, seatbelts, distractive driving, stop signs, anything happening the camera records the whole time we drive. Drivers have to do the speed limit. Everyone needs to respect that we are just trying to deliver packages. Amazon puts high package loads on drivers to get it done in a short amount of time. People want packages in certain places which cost us time. Just let us put the package on your front door and let us move on stop thinking your special and wanting package delivered to your backdoor on the table. Then think your to good to say thank you or give a tip. I stead you give us bad reviews because we put it not in the exact spot. Just be happy we brought your package to the front door and maybe we will be able to be more cautious driving
