Leonardtown, MD – The Potomac Jazz & Seafood Festival has long been considered the most unique and intimate jazz experience in Southern Maryland. The event, now in its 18th year, is slated for Saturday, July 8 at the St. Clement’s Island Museum in Colton’s Point, MD.

This riverside event is presented by the Friends of the St. Clement’s Island and Piney Point Museums and the St. Mary’s County Museum Division, takes place on the lawn of the museum overlooking historic St. Clement’s Island, the birthplace of Maryland. Proceeds from this annual fundraiser benefits museum education programs, preservation projects, exhibits, matching grants, and more.

This year’s lineup of jazz artists includes JJ Sansaverino at 3 p.m., Urban Jazz Coalition at 5 p.m. and Paul Taylor at 7 p.m. Food vendors will include Chiefs – Your Neighborhood Bar, Days Off Deli & Grill, New Orleans by Myra, Mrs. Moo’s Ice Cream and The Nutty Bavarian of Southern Maryland.

Tickets are $65 for the general public and are available for sale online now at www.facebook.com/potomacjazzandseafoodfestival and clicking the “Shop Now” link. Tickets must be purchased in advance (no sales at the gate.) Only 800 tickets are available and all sales are final. No refunds or exchanges. No rain date. Ticket price includes free parking, admission to the museum and an optional boat cruise around St. Clement’s Island State Park.
