Leonardtown, MD – The St. Clementโ€™s Island Museum will hold its Childrenโ€™s Day event on Saturday, August 15, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be free balloons, face painting, games, crafts, activities, snow cones and goody bags. The first 200 kids will receive a reusable water bottle.ย 

Community heroes from the Seventh District Fire Department, Seventh District Rescue Squad and Med-Star Hospital will offer activities promoting health and safety. Leslie Corbin will introduce Zumba exercise fun and Hometown Karaoke & DJ Services will have everyone dancing to kid-friendly tunes.ย ย ย ย ย ย 

The Seventh District Optimist Club will provide a 50 cent meal menu and a free bike raffle.ย

Children 12 years and younger may enjoy free boat rides to St. Clementโ€™s Island State Park. The last boat ride to the island will depart from the museum pier at 2 p.m. and the last boat to return from the island will be at 3 p.m.

The Crab Claw Museum Store will offer a selection of souvenirs, books, games, and more.ย ย  Children can participate in a puzzle challenge and win a small prize.ย ย ย
