DFC. Whipkey arrived on the scene and approached the passenger side of the vehicle where he observed two clear capsules in the center console.ย The driver provided a name to the deputy but did not have a driverโs license in his possession.ย It was later determined the driver lied about his identity and his real name was Montez Wayne Chase, 18 of Lexington Park,ย who was wanted on an outstanding Maryland State Police warrant.ย
A search of the vehicle revealed used hypodermic needles, two spoons containing suspected controlled dangerous substance residue, a straw with white powder residue (suspected cocaine) and a marijuana grinder.ย
The registered owner of the vehicle, Anita Katherine Emory, 20 of California,ย was also in the vehicle.ย Further investigation revealed the controlled dangerous substances and paraphernalia belonged to Emory.ย Emory also possessed a small baggie containing suspected marijuana on her person. Emory was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia.ย ย Chase was arrested on the outstanding warrant.ย ย
