LEONARDTOWN, MD – Superintendent of Schools, Dr. J. Scott Smith, announces the administrative appointments made by the Board of Education at its meeting of May 23, 2018.
The Board appointed Ms. Colleen Gill as Supervisor of Instruction for Instructional Programs in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction. Ms. Gill holds a Master’s degree from the University of Maryland, College Park, and a Bachelor’s degree from St. Mary’s College of Maryland. She currently serves as an Instructional Resource Teacher in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction.
Mr. Jeffrey DiRenzo has been appointed as Principal of Park Hall Elementary School. Mr. DiRenzo holds a Master’s degree from Chapman University and a Bachelor’s degree from Virginia Tech. He currently serves as an Assistant Principal at Leonardtown Elementary School.
Ms. Glenna Edwards has been appointed as Principal of Margaret Brent Middle School. Ms. Edwards holds a Master’s degree from Towson University and a Bachelor’s degree from Frostburg University. Ms. Edwards currently serves as Principal at Piney Point Elementary School.
The Board of Education also approved the following Administrative Transfer:
Ms. Kelly Courtney will transfer from Principal at Lettie Marshall Dent Elementary School to Principal at Piney Point Elementary School.
These appointments and transfer will become effective July 1, 2018.
