Baltimore, MD — Republican gubernatorial candidate Larry Hogan, bolstered by polls that show a close race with Anthony Brown, energized his supporters Sunday night with a rally at Patapsco Hall in Baltimore. New Jersey Governor and Chairman of the Republican Governor’s Conference Chris Christie joined Hogan for the rally with Hogan’s running mate Boyd Rutherford and Hogan’s family by his side.
Hogan blasted naysayers who said a Republican win was impossible. He said, “Well guess what, they are not laughing anymore.”
Christie said he was confident of a Hogan win. The New Jersey governor, making his fourth campaign appearance in Maryland, left a message for outgoing Governor Martin O’Malley: “Don’t waste your time being nervous. Just get ready to clean out your office and turn it over to Larry Hogan.”
