County Government water and sewer utility bill
that will soon be mailed to customers.

Charles County water and sewer service bills have a new and improved, environmentally-friendly design. In an effort to use resources more efficiently and to minimize rising costs, the Water/Sewer Office within the Department of Fiscal and Administrative Services will soon begin mailing water and sewer invoices in a new format: a pressure-sealed invoice that doubles as its own envelope. A return address label is provided for customers to make payments by mail.

โ€œWe are constantly looking for ways to improve the services we provide to our customers while making gains in efficiency,โ€ said William DeAtley, Chief of Accounting. โ€œAn invoice that is also a self-mailer is more customer-friendly and cost effective than stocking two types of envelopes, and conserves natural resources by reducing waste.โ€

The first mailing of the new invoices is expected to be sent to water and sewer customers by the end of the week.
