The Calvert Alliance Against Substance Abuse (CAASA), in partnership with the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office and Calvert Substance Abuse Services, is sponsoring a new support group for parents of children who are struggling with drug abuse.
Calvert County has seen an alarming rise in drug abuse among its younger residents. Parents can feel lost if they are trying to seek help on their own. The support group will offer support, relevant resources and the empathy of those who are dealing with the same problems.
The first support group meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, January 11, 7-8:30 p.m., at the Calvert Library Prince Frederick branch.
