Newbridge Spine & Pain Center Celebrates 5 Years!

Newbridge Spine & Pain Center, one of Metro Washington D.C’s leading pain management medical practices, recently celebrated 5 years serving the Maryland community under the Newbridge Spine & Pain Center brand. Newbridge Spine & Pain Center is owned by Jay Gonchigar, M.D. a board certified Anesthesiologist subspecialty certified in Pain Management.

Over the past five years Dr. Gonchigar has assembled an experienced team of seasoned pain management providers to uphold the medical practice’s reputation for excellence and compassionately serve the chronic pain community. With 17 years of experience in pain management, Dr. Gonchigar was one of the first pain management physicians of his kind in the mid-Maryland area and continues to treat chronic pain patients as the business expands into Leesburg, Virginia February of 2014.

When asked to reflect on the practice as a business owner, Dr. Gonchigar stated that his biggest challenge in the pain management business has been communicating what Newbridge Spine & Pain Center provides. “It has been a challenge ensuring both potential patients and the medical community understand what we do.

We treat the symptoms of pain at the source. Our aim is to help patients fulfill productive lives free from the burden of constant pain.” Candid about his professional challenges, Dr. Gonchigar states that managing patient’s expectations has been key, “in many cases there is an expectation that a successful outcome results in pain being cured; however, in reality our role is to minimize and manage pain.” Newbridge Spine & Pain is equipped with the capability to perform a variety of non-invasive, non-surgical, interventional out-patient procedures.

These procedures are performed in-house and generally require very short recovery periods. Treatments are highly personalized and take into consideration each patient’s individual circumstances.

To celebrate five years in business Newbridge Spine & Pain Center will host patient appreciation days in each of their locations throughout the month of February.
