PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. — A Lusby woman is facing criminal charges after Calvert County Sheriff’s Office deputies alleged she repeatedly called 911 requesting a ride before causing a disturbance inside a Prince Frederick convenience store, according to court documents.

Nekiyah Phip Fletcher, 26, of Lusby, was charged in the District Court for Calvert County with telephone misuse for making repeated calls and disorderly conduct following the July 4, 2026, incident.

According to a statement of probable cause filed by the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded at approximately 12:45 a.m. July 4, 2026, to the Wawa located at 305 Market Square Drive in Prince Frederick after receiving a police information call from the Calvert County Control Center.

Investigators reported the Control Center advised that Fletcher had been calling 911 because she wanted a ride home. Dispatchers further advised deputies it was the sixth time Fletcher had called 911 requesting transportation and that she had previously been informed emergency dispatch services do not provide rides.

According to the charging documents, deputies located Fletcher inside the Wawa and warned her that calling 911 again for a non-emergency purpose would result in criminal charges for telephone misuse.

Authorities allege Fletcher then became disorderly by yelling and using profanity inside the store. Court documents state customers turned to watch the disturbance as Fletcher continued shouting despite deputies repeatedly instructing her to calm down and lower her voice.

Deputies reported Fletcher was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center, where she was charged with telephone misuse and disorderly conduct.

District Court records show Fletcher was released on her own recognizance following her July 4 arrest. She is scheduled to appear for a hearing on July 15, 2026, in Calvert District Court.
