At 11:46 p.m., Sept. 15, Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to Wal-Mart located at 11930 Acton Lane in Waldorf for the report of an armed robbery.
Investigation revealed the suspect walked out of the store with a shopping cart full of merchandise without paying. An employee attempted to stop the suspect, when he brandished a handgun and exited the store.
He fled the scene in a blue Ford Taurus or Chevy Impala. The suspect is described as a black male weighing between 350 and 400 pounds.
He was wearing a gray shirt and black pants. The suspect also had a small child in the cart. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Charles County Sheriff’s Office at 301-932-7777. Officer C. Shaw is investigating.
