At 9:52 p.m. April 13, TFC Schmidt stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on Rt. 4 at Rt. 260, Dunkirk.
A computer check revealed that the vehicle was unregistered and uninsured. A search of the vehicle produced a baggie of suspected marijuana.
Arrested at that time for possession of marijuana and several traffic violations was Charles Daniel Pate, 33, of Upper Marlboro. After processing, he was transported to the CCDC to await a commissionerโs hearing.
At 5:58 p.m. April 2, TFC Bowling stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on Rt. 2/4 in Solomons.
Upon contact with the occupants of the vehicle, TFC Bowling detected the odor of suspected marijuana. A search was conducted and a baggie of suspected marijuana and a CDS smoking device were recovered.
Arrested at that time for possession of marijuana and CDS paraphernalia was Michael Harry Coyle, 18, of St. Leonard. After processing, he was transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner’s hearing.
At 11:08 a.m. April 5, TPR Bigham stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on Rt. 4, Dunkirk.
Upon contact with the operator, Jeremiah Scott Piper, 19, of Greencastle, PA, TPR Bigham detected the odor of suspected marijuana. A search was conducted and suspected marijuana was recovered.
Piper was then placed under arrest for possession of marijuana.ย After processing, he was transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner’s hearing.
At 7:30 p.m. April 9, TPR Bigham stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on Rt. 2, Owings.
Upon contact with the occupants, TPR Bigham detected the odor of suspected marijuana. A search was conducted and suspected marijuana and CDS paraphernalia was recovered.
Arrested at that time for possession of marijuana and CDS paraphernalia was Sharon Ann Washington, 53, of Washington, DC.ย After processing, she was transported to the CCDC to await a commissioner’s hearing.
At 5:23 p.m. April 14, TFC T. Quade stopped a vehicle for having an inoperable brake light on Route 235 at Route 246, Lexington Park.
While the vehicle was stopping, the driver was observed to be reaching toward the center console. A probable cause search was conducted.
Located in the center console was a clear plastic baggie containing marijuana.
The driver, Terrance Keith Johnson, 39, of Lexington Park, was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana. He was taken to the St. Maryโs County Detention Center and held pending a bail review.
At 8:10 a.m. April 14, Dfc. Richard Wilson was on patrol in the Calvert Village Shopping Center located on West Dares Beach Road in Prince Frederick when he observed a green Ford Mustang with a broken driver window behind the Apex Theatre.
Upon closer inspection he saw someone asleep in the driverโs seat, later identified as the owner of the vehicle, Raymond M. Stevens, 23, of Chesapeake Beach.
Stevens was asked to step out of the vehicle and when he did so, suspected marijuana was in plain view on the driver seat.
Stevens was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
