Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley is scheduled to visit the Red Bull Motocross of Nations International Motocross event on the afternoon of Saturday, Sept. 22.
The Governor will be joined by state and local elected officials and representatives of regional and state tourism offices.
The Red Bull Motocross of Nations will take place at Budds Creek Motocross in Budds Creek, Sept. 22 and Sept. 23.
This is the first time this international event has been held in the US in twenty years. Thirty-five teams have entered this unique event and this is the only occasion for fans to see the best riders in the world compete together in teams. There will be pre-event amateur racing on Friday, Sept. 21.
Regional tourism Offices and the Maryland Office of Tourism, will host a visitor information tent at the event. Track officials estimate attendance at more than 35,000. Many of the international attendees will be visiting Maryland for the first time.
