On Thursday, Feb. 5 at approximately 6:12 p.m., Bay District Fire and Lexington Park Rescue were called for an accident with injuries on Chancellor’s Run Road and Amber Drive in Lexington Park. The initial report stated that there was one vehicle overturned.
Police and fire units scoured the area trying to find the vehicle to no avail and the call was canceled. About two minutes later a woman flagged down a State Police Trooper in the area of Amber Drive near Iverson Drive. The woman advised the officer that her husband was in an accident and was in a ditch.
The officer confirmed a rollover on Iverson Drive in Hickory Hill. At that time the officer reported that he thought the single occupant of the Mustang was conscious and that the subject’s wife was one the scene at the intersection of Amber and Iverson.
Bay District Fire , Lexington Park Rescue and Advanced Life Support responded and proceeded to extract the injured male, requesting a fly out. The victim was transported by Lexington Park Rescue to Esperanza Middle School where Trooper 7 waited to fly out the patient. The patient was flown to PG Hospital.
The Ford Mustang was found about 75 feet off the road in a ditch about 25 to 30 feet down
