St. Mary’s County fire and rescue crews were dispatched at shortly before 8 p.m. Sunday to St. John’s Road in the area of St. John’s Catholic Church in Hollywood for a report of a motor vehicle accident with entrapment. Crews arrived a short time later and advised they had one vehicle on its side with one male patient trapped in the vehicle. A helicopter was requested at the scene for transport. Crews worked quick to free the patient. The patient was transported by Maryland State Police Trooper 2 helicopter to Prince George’s Shock Trauma Center.
