The 2023 Group Achievement Award went to the Paleo Volunteer Group, known for their work in the Paleo Prep Lab educating visitors about fossils and uncovering tiny fossils critical for research. Special thanks to Amy Carter, Beth Meck, Nathan Rafalowski, and Katherine Rioux for their dedication to micro fossils.

Nancy Krause was named the 2023 Rookie Volunteer of the Year. You can find Nancy in the Museum Store, in Volunteer Council meetings, at special events and anywhere else she is needed. As a new volunteer, she hit the ground running and hasn’t stopped.

The 2023 Volunteer of the Year Award honored the late Bill Prochownik, a dedicated volunteer in Paleontology known affectionately as Robo-Bill for his exceptional work at excavation sites! We are so grateful for all the time he spent here at the museum.

Thank you to all our volunteers that give so much of themselves to help make CMM the very best it can be. We couldn’t do it without each one of you!
