Kyrsten Kirby, 14, is missing and her family is worried. A family friend tells TheBAYNET she was recently spotted with a boy in the Pinefield area in Northern Waldorf. Kirby is 5’3″, 130 pounds with dark brown hair and hazel eyes. The family is now offering a $2,000 reward for her safe return.
She has reportedly been seen in other Waldorf neighborhoods. She was reportedly spotted in Pinefield today and the parents are searching for volunteers to help find her. Their main worry is that she may bolt and leave the county.
According to other reports, Kirby has a history of running away. A friend of Mary Kirby, Kyrsten’s mother, says Kyrsten’s boyfriend is cooperating with the family, does not know where she is and wants to find her.
Charles County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Diane Richardson told TheBAYNET they are working to find her and that there have been a few sightings. She said she would provide an update later on Thursday afternoon.
“We want to hear from anyone who has any information,” Richardson said. Richardson also said police officers had responded when Kirby was sighted earlier this week but said she fled when officers arrived.
