The Southern Maryland Boat Club hosted the 2019 Vintage Race Boat Regatta Series at the Historic Leonardtown Wharf, July 26-28.
The vintage race-boats put on an exhibition to showcase the capabilities of their boats.
The video below is from Saturday of the Family J and Sport J class race-boats from the 70s through the 80s ranging from 15 to 16 foot-long, powered by 140 to 150 horsepower outboard motors, with speeds capable of 75 to 80 miles per hour.
