At 11:45 p.m.ย Nov. 9, Charles County Sheriffโs officers responded to a residence in the 900 block of Prentiss Place in Waldorf for the report of a protective order violation.
Investigation revealed a 38-year-old Cheverly man parked in front of his estranged wifeโs residence. He had been calling her and leaving messages for several weeks and several days earlier, he followed friends that left her residence and then he returned to her residence and remained outside.
After receiving the report of the possible protective order violation, officers found the man on foot in the area of the victimโs residence and charged him with stalking.
He was also charged with possession of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia after officers found a smoking device and crack cocaine in his possession.
He was being held at the Charles County Detention Center pending an appearance before a district court commissioner. The suspectโs name is being withheld to protect the identity of the victim. Officer G. Barnhart investigated.
