Sometime overnight between April 17 and April 18, a 16-year-old Waldorf boy forced entry into a vacant residence in the 4400 block of Eagle Court in Waldorf by throwing a rock through a glass door.
Police say the boy and Shawn Patrick Riley, 22, of no fixed address remained in the house overnight. They were discovered on April 18 at 11:24 a.m. when a woman arrived to show the residence to prospective renters.
They fled the scene but officers found them shortly thereafter and arrested them. They were charged with third-degree burglary and destruction of property valued at less than $500.
The juvenile was released to his mother and Riley was held at the Charles County Detention Center on a $10,000 bond. Officer R. Johnson investigated.
