The annual event celebrating the Patuxent River and the communities that share and protect it, Patuxent River Appreciation Days, was a tremendous hit for 2010. Locally known as P.R.A.D, the event features environmental exhibits and activities, an arts and crafts fair, live music, eats and treats, free boat rides, free admission to Calvert Marine Museum and on Sunday, a parade.

The boat building activity was popular, with all agesย showcasingย their carpentry and design skills. With sunny weather and a long list of great family activities, P.R.A.D proved to be a great time for all.

One museum volunteer said she had clicked 1300 vistors at just one entrance around Noon on Sunday, admitting she was having a hard time keeping up with the floods of people coming to the event.ย Thousands came out for the fun and TheBAYNET.com was there to capture it!
