I am writing to you to express my concerns about the Charlotte Hall & Mattawomen Park & Rides. I am starting a petition to get cameras installed. I wanted to start this petition because so many commuters’ valuables are being stolen & people are being robbed at both Park & Rides. As loyal paying customers to Dillon’s bus service we shouldn’t have to go to work worrying about our vehicles being broken into, our tires being taken off, license plates being stolen or afraid to even catch the bus at the commuter bus lots! Yes we are warned to lock our vehicles and hide all visible valuables but that just doesn’t seem to be enough! I wouldn’t say these cameras have to be monitored 24/7, just so if another incident happens there will be cameras to look at and catch the criminals! Just the other day a woman’s tires & rims were stolen off her SUV at the Charlotte Hall P&R while she was at work and nothing could be done because there were no witnesses. It’s just not fair and I have had enough! It’s about time camera’s should be installed to stop these crimes or at least catch these criminals!

Please help me in spreading the word to get more signatures for my petition so I can bring this matter to attention.
