I just wanted to make everyone aware that if you need a cab in the future that you might need to pack a few extra bucks, they are ripping people off during the winter weather. CHESAPEAKE CAB brought a family member home on Monday after the roads have already been cleared and charged $13 for a normal $9 ride and then before the family member got out they charged an Extra $5 for what they call “Bad Weather Fee”.
I don’t know about the roads they thought they came down but the roads that they used to get to my house were clear as day. The thing that gets me is they never said anything about extra fees until they arrived at the drop off location. What would have happened if this person only had enough for the normal cab ride amount?
I think its very UN-professional that these extra fees aren’t mentioned when you call for the cab in the first place its just another way for Chesapeake Cab to steal hard working peoples money right from behind there back. I am pretty sure if they keep up the way they do business now, they wont be in business much longer and i plan on taking every legal action I can to make sure they don’t rip off any other citizen of St. Mary’s County.
