
DAMERON, Md. —ย On Februaryย 8, 2021, at approximatelyย 1:48 p.m.,ย Ridge Volunteer Fire Department units responded to the 18000 block of Trossbach Road for a reported garage fire. Upon arrival, units identified and responded to smoke pouring out from the side of a 30×30 garage.

Engine 41 arrived at 1:58 p.m. and dropped a supply line from the entrance of the driveway to the structure. Crews deployed a hand-line to the smoking side of the garage and began extinguishing the fire in the rear.
Engine 141 arrived right behind E-41, picked up the supply line and deployed an additional line from E-41 to the side entrance.
Crews worked aggressively and gained control of the fire within 10 minutes. Truck 3 arrived and assisted crews with ventilation and overhaul.
No injuries or exposure damage are to report. Crews wrapped up and went in service at 2:55p.m.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
