On Oct. 6, Maryland State Police โ€“ Prince Frederick Barrack Troopers and Calvert County Sheriff Office Deputies responded to the McDonaldโ€™s Express, 120 Solomons Island Rd., Prince Frederick, for a reported check welfare. Prior to arrival the call was changed to an armed robbery.

Officers discovered several store employees had been locked in a cooler during the robbery.

Two African American males entered the establishment and pointed a weapon at the employees and ordered them into the cooler.

The suspects stole an undisclosed amount of currency from the business and then fled the establishment on foot.

The men are described as 5โ€™09โ€-5โ€™10โ€, weighing approximately 180-190lbs.ย  The first suspect who was in possession of the handgun was wearing black pants and a black hooded sweat shirt; his age is estimated at mid to late 20โ€™-30โ€™s. The second suspect was wearing tan pants and a black hooded sweat shirt; his age is estimated at late 30โ€™s to early 40โ€™s.

The Det. V. Bortchevsky with the Calvert Investigative Team is continuing the investigation.
