HOLLYWOOD, Md. — A local band often in the spotlight is looking to add another talented member to their group. Robbie Boothe, of Hollywood, is looking for a fifth member at the moment.ย
โWe have noticed that many successful country artists and bands have keyboard players who can sing harmonies as well. We are looking for someone between the ages of 18 and 26 who has a passion and desire to play music as a career,โ said Boothe.
Boothe had no idea the group would be performing at so many different venues in and out of the area.
โThis is after only one year after everything began. We are so humbled by all of the support that this community gives us. No music would be possible without the love and support of the community that we’ve grown up in,โ said Boothe.
Growing up, Boothe always turned to music as a “getaway” from everything.
โI would sit in my room and sing karaoke while videotaping myself. The more I listened to the songs, the more I realized that I wanted to write my own,โ he said.
Other members of the group include Max Tucker, Anthony Katsakis and Cameron Gainer.
โMax has been with me from the beginning as our lead guitarist. He is the most talented person I have ever met in my life and one of my best friends in the world. Max is the true definition of a blessing and a โheaven-sent,โโ said Boothe.
Katsakis and Gainer have been with the group since February of this year.
โAnthony is our bass player who also has amazing guitar skills. Cameron is our drummer who can also play bass as well as many other instruments. I feel very blessed to play music with such talented guys. Most of all, these three are good guys who would do anything in the world to lend a hand to someone else,โ said Boothe.
Boothe also mentioned the people behind the scenes who contribute to the bandโs success. โOur sound guy, Alex Holden, has been with us since February and he too is a heaven-sent. Alex is a genius when it comes to sound engineering and is an enormous asset to this band. Connor Bullis does so much with our social media, merchandise and flyers for shows. My brother, Kyle Boothe, runs our merchandise at our shows, and is always a huge helping hand in setting up and cleaning up after shows. His support means more than anyone could imagine.”
The group enjoys getting a crowd hyped up with recent country music covers.
โSome of our favorites include โShe’s Country,โ โCountry Girl,โ and โI Don’t Want This Night to End.โ These songs always seem to get the crowd into it, and that’s what we enjoy the most,โ said Boothe. โOur favorite place so far that we have played would definitely be Rams Head Live in Baltimore. We were given the opportunity to open for Frankie Ballard and I speak on behalf of everybody when I say it was one of the best experiences of our lives to date.โ
The vocalist listed Luke Bryan, Brett Eldredge and Thomas Rhett as his inspiration in pursuing the dream of being a country music artist.
โOur music is on pretty much every possible site where you can download or stream music, like iTunes, Amazon, Spotify and Google Play. Weโve put out two singles this summer and are going to be releasing one more towards the end of September. We have a few shows coming up in Ocean City at Cowboy Coast as well as a few down home shows as well!โ said Boothe.
One show the group is looking forward will be hosted at the newly constructed 5 South Event Center in Callaway, said Boothe.
โItโs on Sept. 23. We are almost done with our website, but you can still check out more information on our Facebook page,โ said Boothe.
Boothe had some inspiring words for those who aspire to have a musical career.
โFollow their hearts and go for it. God has a plan for you and you don’t want to ever live your life in regret,โ said Boothe. โI was in the same position you were for some time but finally decided that I want to make a career out of what I love. The road to success is not easy, but you can do it!โ
The group is excited for what the future holds, said Boothe.
โWe are determined to be successful and I’m confident that we, as a team, will achieve our goals,โ said Boothe.
