LEXINGTON PARK, Md. – The family-friendly and COVID-compliant Halloween in the Square gave over 500 local kids a chance to enjoy a socially-distant holiday celebration on October 31.
Local government, community organizations, and businesses teamed up with Reach Back and Lift 1 Inc. for the Halloween alternative held at St Mary’s Square Shopping Center from 1 to 4 pm.
The event featured free candy, snacks, haircuts, and entertainment, including award-winning comedy magician, Reggie Rice.
Reach Back and Lift 1 Inc. is a nonprofit that helps young people gain personal and professional leadership skills.
This event is only the first of many the group hopes to hold. They hope to make these celebrations a quarterly event and are currently planning one for the Christmas holiday.
