OWINGS, Md. – Scorpion Tap Room is closing its doors for good. CEO Brian Dailey shared the announcement on Facebook, saying they will pour their last beer at 929 Skinners Turn Road on St. Patrick’s Day.
“This was not an easy decision to make. A change in our building’s ownership took place a few years ago and in January 2024, our lease that was negotiated with the previous landlord expired. We were unable to agree on terms with the new landlord, primarily due to a 239% increase in monthly payments,” said Dailey.
Scorpion Brewing was founded in February 2012 and after two years of hard work they opened their doors to the public.
“We are incredibly proud of what we have built and all that we have accomplished over the years – and to all our customers who have grown with us and followed all the changes that we have made throughout the years, thank you for your amazing support, we couldn’t have done it without you.” said Dailey

Dailey added that some of Scorpion Brewing’s current co-owners have some new business plans of their own at a new location in North Beach.
“We wish them all the best and thank you all again for your support and friendship from the bottom of our hearts.”
Their final toast at Scorpion Brewing Company will be Saturday, March 16th and Sunday, March 17th.
