Leonardtown, MD — A scrapbooking crop event at the Dr. James A. Forrest Career and Technology Center will benefit students and their pursuit of career education.

The event will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the schoolโ€™s Dorhman Room.

Tickets are $50 but that includesย breakfast snacks, lunch, dinner, a raffle, ยฝ table space, vendors and table buddies.

Attendees are asked toย bring gently used scrapbook items, paper and stamps for the brown bag portion. Plus non-perishable food items will be collected for local food pantries.

The Ride Lion’s Club is hosting the crop to benefit the school’s SkillsUSA chapter. SkillUSA is an organization dedicated to the advancement of career education that also offers students a chance to compete in career-skills focused events.

The Forrest Centerโ€™s SkillsUSA chapter is among the most successful in the state. As a
result of that success, the chapter must raose over $25,000 to cover the cost
of leadership training, chapter activities and regional, state & national competitions.
