ST. LEONARD, Md. — We are receiving reports of an accident this evening in Calvert County that has left one in critical condition.
At approximately 8:00 p.m. on August 15, first responders were alerted to a serious motor vehicle crash on St. Leonard Road in the area of Carlyle Court. Upon arrival, crews discovered a single vehicle that had struck a pole and a tree off the road causing serious damage to the vehicle and bringing down some wires.
Serious extrication was required for the victim who was flown soon after to a nearby trauma center. The helicopter landed in Grovers Field to make the transport.
