Sheriff Timothy Cameron and Detention Center Commander Captain Michael Merican would like to congratulate new Correctional Officers Mickey Adkins, Daniel Holdsworth, Dawn Oliver, Brittany Schaefer, Loretta Shenski, Vincent Shontere and Jason Smith after their completion of ten weeks of Basic Entry Level Corrections Training at the Southern Maryland Criminal Justice Academy leading up to their graduation on Friday, November 19, 2010.
Correction Officers Daniel Holdsworth, Dawn Oliver, Brittany Schaefer and Jason Smith were recognized as “Distinguished Graduates” for their academic accomplishments during basic training. In addition, Correction Officer Brittany Schaefer was chosen by her classmates to deliver the class graduation speech.
“We are very proud of the officers’ hard work and dedication to their studies, and now look forward to welcoming them back to the detention center to begin a long and very rewarding career in public service. Congratulations graduates.” (Sheriff Timothy K. Cameron)
