At 7:17 p.m. Jan. 4, a vehicle traveling westbound on Rt. 227 at Padgett Drive was stopped for a traffic violation.
Upon contact with the driver, Joshua Kyle Robinson, 22, of Waldorf, signs of impairment were detected by TFC R. Lemerise of the LaPlata barrack.
A probable cause search revealed a quantity of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Robinson was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was incarcerated in the Charles County Detention Center pending a bond review.
