Hollywood, MD – On March 22, 2020 at 11:00 AM it was reported at St. Mary’s County Airport a small plane with a landing gear problem was circling the airport waiting to make an emergency landing. The aircraft continued to circle airport to burn off fuel prior to landing.
At 11:17 AM the aircraft landed and the pilot exited on his own. The aircraft landed with the front landing gear collapsing and the aircraft coming to a rest midway down the runway. Units proceeded to the aircraft to check for injuries and any hazards or leaks, EMS requested to checkout pilot. Units cleared, turning over to airport staff.
