Celebrate the birth of our nation with one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence. Introduce the family to William Paca and other important Annapolitans, as portrayed by the Annapolis Living Historians.  Listen in as they discuss “current” events during that momentous year of our nation’s birth, 1776.  Be sure to tour the 2-acre garden.  Then, stroll over to Hogshead where reenactors reveal how it was to be in the working class during the same time and how skilled labor and patriotism was essential to the independence effort.

Annapolis Independence Day Parade and Fireworks

The Parade will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will travel along West Street, around Church Circle, and down Main Street to the City Dock. Then, visit Susan Campbell Park at 8:00 p.m. for a performance by the Naval Academy’s Concert Band, followed by a 4th of July Fireworks display at 9:15 p.m. from a barge in Annapolis Harbor.


Fireworks at Running Hare Vineyard

Jeremy and Dana play on the outdoor stage from 6-8:30p.  Fabulous local vendors such as Sassafrass Farm, Spider Hall Farm, The Hungry Hare, Pizza Di Vigna, and Dilbert’s Dogs are on-hand with delicious food offerings. Then watch the skies magically light up over the vineyard at around 9pm.  Plus you get to choose from various admission levels: under 21, general, or premium admission packages.

The Town of Chesapeake presents “Fireworks Over The Bay”  before Independence Day. You and your guests are invited to take a walk on the Bay Front Boardwalk, search for sharks’ teeth at Bay Front Park, and visit the nature-filled scenic “Railway Trail.” The water park can offer a fun and unique way to enjoy the annual fireworks display!

Solomons July 4th Fireworks Celebration

Watch the glorious parade of decorated boats that begins at noon and can be seen from many waterfront locations.  It all leads up to Solomons’ dazzling fireworks display over the Patuxent River. Fireworks are at dusk, approximately 8:45-9:15pm. In case of inclement weather, fireworks will be rescheduled.
