GREAT MILLS, Md. – On June 25, 2024, the St. Mary’s County Commissioners and the Department of Recreation & Parks will host a dedication ceremony to officially rename Baseball Field #1 at Chancellors Run Regional Park in honor of Marcus Tyrone Harris, Sr.
Harris was a long-time employee of St. Mary’s County Recreation and Parks, serving residents for nearly 30 years. During his time in the department, he met many friends and grew strong bonds with members of the community.
Light refreshments will be served during the ceremony.

I miss him so much. We need more people invested in our community like he had been. Tyrone was the backbone of R&P.
Why not rename the whole park in his honor?
