On April 12 Bowles Farms and St. Mary’s Hospital teamed up for an evening Zumba fitness party on the farm raising over $1,100 for the hospital’s American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life Team. More than 50 people attended the event where local Solomons, Maryland, Zumba instructor, Heather Arthur led the exercise portion.
Located in Clements, Maryland, Bowles Farms is best known for having the largest cornfield maze in Southern Maryland, but on April 12 they were known for making exercise entertaining in support of this incredible cause. Scrumptious and delicately crafted strawberry and cream cupcakes were prepared by Nancy Wallace, owner of Farmer’s Daughter Cupcakes, and sold during the event. All proceeds from the cupcake sales were donated directly to the cause.
