Governor Martin O’Malley issued the following statement today on the health care reform protests on Capitol Hill:
“All Americans, whether they support healthcare reform or not, should condemn the dangerous behavior that took place yesterday on Capitol Hill where demonstrators yelled hateful and racial epithets at Members of Congress and, in one instance, actually spit upon a Member of Congress.
“This kind of hateful behavior will not move our nation forward and I urge all Marylanders to join me in rejecting this kind of violence and demagoguery regardless of the issue at hand.”
