State says St. Mary’s man died of natural causes

Bushwood, MD – An elderly St. Mary’s County man who was reported critically missing before he was found dead Sunday, 13 died of natural causes, state officials confirm.

The body of Thomas Howard Gross, 80, was found in the Long View Beach area near Bushwood shortly after 4 p.m., St. Mary’s County authorities reported.

In an email to TheBayNet.com, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for Maryland spokesman Bruce Goldfarb stated Gross died as a result of heart-related complications.

Arrangements for Mr. Gross are being handled by Brinsfield Funeral Home.

Bushwood, MD –  The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a death investigation after remains were found in the Longview Beach area, police reported. The sheriff’s office reported Sunday afternoon, May 13 that a body believed to be that of critically missing person Thomas Howard Gross had been located.
