St. Mary’s City, MD – Historic St. Mary’s City will host their spring Homeschool Day on Wednesday, April 17. The homeschool day, themed Old World, Modern World, invites visitors to engage in the science of the past, with a modern twist. The day is open to all families with a love of science and history!

Hands-on demonstrations and activities throughout the day may include the following: learning how the technology of weapons changed over time; hearing about women who worked in the STEM field in the seventeenth century; discovering the science of colonial medicine versus that of today; and attempting the math and technology needed for navigation while at sea.
